Ceres selects Advent to provide TOS for North American container terminals

Murray Hill, NJ - Ceres Terminals, based in Weehawken, NJ, operates seven North American container terminals for which they have selected Advent to implement their Large Scale Terminal Operating System. Beginning Spring 2007, the system will be deployed at Ceres locations in Montreal, Halifax, Charleston (Columbus Street and North Charleston Terminals), New Orleans, Houston and the Yusen Terminals flag ship facility in Los Angeles. Ceres will replace their legacy system with the new Terminal Operating System, automating each of their terminal locations with a complete yard, vessel, on-dock rail, operations planning and execution, and a fully automated gate interface.

Ceres and Advent already have a successful partnership in place as Advent they have already deployed Advent's smaller, Web Based Terminal Management System in Baltimore and Jacksonville. This system is used to manage primarily the auto/ro-ro operations for Ceres.
