ITS Awards Advent Contract To Develop New Terminal Management System for Long Beach, Oakland, Tacoma and Elizabeth Terminals
LONG BEACH, CA --- International Transportation Service, Inc. has contracted Advent, Inc. of New Providence, NJ to develop a new terminal management system for its four North American terminal facilities: Long Beach, Oakland, Tacoma and Elizabeth. The new system is part of an effort to accommodate larger vessels and increased terminal activity. In addition to modernizing its systems, ITS will expand the size and capacity of its Long Beach terminal facility.
The new system will represent the state of the art in terminal management technology when it is completed. By seamlessly integrating with hand-held radio devices and internal operating systems, Advent’s software will maximize the efficiency of all phases of the ITS terminal operation.
Advent was selected for the project because of its extensive experience with maritime and intermodal operations as well as its ability to deliver cutting edge systems on time and on budget.
