RUTHERFORD, NJ --- Advent, Inc., a software development company located in New Providence, NJ that specializes in mission-critical applications for the shipping industry, is developing a system to manage the health benefits programs administered by the Metropolitan Marine Maintenance Contractors Association (“Metro”).
Metro manages the benefits plans for the Maintenance labor force of the International Longshoremens Association (ILA). Advent’s system will help Metro receive and record employee contributions, track service-based benefits eligibility, and manage pensions for a workforce of thousands.
Advent was selected for the project because of its extensive experience with maritime and intermodal operations.
