MURRAY HILL, NJ – Using Advent’s AutoTrack system, in just one month Sea Star Lines was able to migrate from a completely paper-based operation to one that successfully executed and tracked almost 1,650 online gate moves. Sea Star Lines now manages the inventory at its Jacksonville, Port Everglades and San Juan, PR terminals exclusively through AutoTrack.
AutoTrack represents Sea Star’s first foray into the automation of its terminal operations. AutoTrack allows Sea Star to schedule vessel load dates for autos, track yard inventory, record the movement of autos into and out of the terminal gates, and coordinate transactions between all three terminal locations.
Sea Star is in the process of announcing to its customers that AutoTrack has been implemented and made available for their use. Sea Star will provide live data to its customers through a secure web interface, creating maximum cargo visibility within a protected, login-based environment. Sea Star anticipates that AutoTrack, paired with planned updates to its internal systems, will provide its customers with a new level of support.
