ADVENT HELPS SEABOARD MARINE BRING SHIPMENT VISIBILITY TO THEIR CUSTOMERS VIA THE WEB

New web-based application for Equipment Tracking

Miami, FL - Seaboard Marine’s customers were demanding better visibility of their shipments. They wanted up to the minute status on equipment and each customer wanted a different customized report. To satisfy their customers, Seaboard Marine turned to Advent.

Advent worked with Seaboard Marine to integrate a complete customer visibility solution into their existing customer website. The system allows customers to log in, view the status of their equipment with a user friendly reporting tool. If the standard report types are not detailed enough, customers can create customized reports that fit their data requirements. Using a intuitive query tool, customers can select the data they want to see, in the order they want to see it. They can also dynamically group the data for online analysis. They can also export the data to Excel for off line research and analysis.

The system was developed using Microsoft .Net technology to run on existing Seaboard Marine web servers and MS SQL Server 2000 servers. The system also interfaces with their existing AS400 based booking and documentation systems.
